Wireless Error Proofing (RF) Systems

Wireless RF error-proofing systems monitor, verify, and validate every assembly step — guiding operators and locking out errors without cabling the workstation.

Wireless Error Proofing (RF) Systems — Micromeasures

The Entorquer-KVL (TQ202 / TQR202USB) is our simplest, most efficient wireless control module for cordless clutch shut-off tools — engineered for seamless PLC integration via I/O, with effortless pairing, secure activation control, and precise feedback, all in a compact, easy-to-maintain form.

Application fields

Key features

  • Plug-and-play

Modules replaceable in under a minute for minimal downtime.

  • Simple pairing

Pair by pressing the receiver button and inserting the battery.

  • Dual operating modes

Normal (active unless disabled) and Disabled (default — only the PLC enables).

  • Sleep mode

Powers down during inactivity, waking instantly on movement.

  • Link mode

Tool operates only within a pre-defined zone; disabled outside it.

Process flow — automotive assembly line

A typical line sequence — the tool is enabled only at the right station, for the right number of tightenings.

  • 1 · Waiting for the vehicle

The tool stays disabled by default; the line PLC prevents premature use and unintended damage.

  • 2 · Position detection & enabling

As the vehicle reaches the workstation, the PLC enables the tool within a predefined operational area (adjustable in software).

  • 3 · Tightening

The operator tightens the fasteners; OK / Not-OK / Reverse signals go to the PLC in real time. After the assigned number of tightenings (e.g. 5), the tool auto-disables.

  • 4 · Next assembly stage

The tool stays inactive until the PLC re-enables it for the next assembly task.

    Easy tool replacement and configuration.

  • Custom solutions

Custom development available to integrate with your tightening data system.

Frequently asked

What does wireless error proofing do?+

It wirelessly enables or disables cordless tools based on position and process state via the line PLC — so a tool can only be used at the right station, in the right sequence, with OK/NOK/Reverse feedback in real time.

How does it integrate with our line?+

Through I/O-based PLC integration: inputs control enable/disable and outputs report OK, NOK and Reverse signals. The operational zone is defined in the configuration software.

Can the logic be customised?+

Yes — control logic and wireless range are configurable, and custom development is available to integrate with your tightening data system.
